Insist today that the office applications you deploy allow users to easily set the OASIS OpenDocument standard as the default „save“ format for your documents. That is, you should not have to go to a lot of trouble to avoid using proprietary formats.
Das nenn ich doch mal eine schöne Steilvorlage, um die Lotus-Jungs bei IBM ein wenig zu ärgern…

Aber wer von den Lotus Jungs soll sich denn ärgern? Zumindest bei der bisher glücklosen Workplace Produktreihe ist OO integriert und wird das OpenDocument nach IBM Aussagen „default“ werden.
Naja,ich gebe es ja zu. Solange man QuickPlace lieber nicht mit Firefox besucht, sind solche Aussagen vorsichtig zu bewerten 🙂
